Your first acupuncture visit will include:
-
Consultation: We’ll discuss your health history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
-
Assessment: I’ll evaluate your condition by checking your pulses, examining your tongue, and palpating your abdomen.
-
Treatment: After answering your questions, we will begin the acupuncture session.
-
Duration: The first visit lasts about 90 minutes.
-
Cost: The first session is $250.
-
Acupuncture treatments build on each other. We generally recommend two sessions per week for the first two weeks, then transition to weekly treatments. If your symptoms worsen between appointments, you may need an extra session to keep progress on track. As you improve, we’ll space out the treatments.
The number of sessions depends on your specific condition and response to treatment. Typically, after two weeks of treatment, we evaluate your progress. Most patients notice improvements within 12 sessions. We’ll continue adjusting treatment frequency as needed to maintain steady progress.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing so I can easily access your arms and legs for treatment. If loose clothing isn’t a possibility, we provide sheets and blankets to ensure your comfort during the session.
Return visits typically last between 45-60 minutes and cost $120. These sessions include a progress check, discussion, pulse evaluation, and treatment.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture, a traditional Chinese medicine technique, involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to regulate the flow of energy (Qi) and restore balance in the nervous system. By addressing imbalances caused by stress, diet, lack of sleep, or trauma, acupuncture supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself more effectively.
This holistic, noninvasive treatment enhances overall physical, emotional, and mental well-being by boosting the body’s healing processes, improving immune function, enhancing circulation, and reducing stress.
Recognized by the World Health Organization as an effective treatment for over 40 conditions, acupuncture offers a balanced approach to health. Whether you seek relief from chronic pain, improved energy, stamina, and concentration, enhanced beauty, or better sleep, acupuncture helps you feel and look your best from the inside out.
Benefits
Although commonly associated with pain relief—such as for back pain, migraines, and joint issues—acupuncture’s benefits extend far beyond that. It can boost energy levels, improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, support digestion, aid in weight management, and address reproductive and menstrual health concerns. Additionally, acupuncture is popular for facial rejuvenation, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin tone, and enhancing circulation and radiance. This holistic approach supports overall physical and emotional health, encouraging the body to heal naturally from within. By improving circulation and reducing tension, acupuncture not only accelerates recovery but also enhances beauty and vitality from the inside out, offering a balanced approach to wellness and appearance.
Research: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) recognizes acupuncture’s wide-ranging benefits, including helping with:

-
Immune Support: Boosts immune function and overall health.
-

History
Acupuncture, originating from ancient China, has been a trusted healing practice for over 3,000 years. This gentle, noninvasive treatment stimulates the body’s natural ability to heal itself by using fine needles to enhance energy flow (Qi) and activate self-healing processes. By addressing the root causes of discomfort, acupuncture restores balance and well-being.
Five Elements
5 Element Acupuncture was developed in the mid-20th century by J.R. Worsley, a British acupuncturist who integrated ancient Chinese medicine principles with his own observations and teachings. While rooted in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Worsley’s approach focuses specifically on the relationships between the five elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—and their role in overall health. The concept of the five elements has ancient origins in China, where it was first recorded around 2,000 years ago in classical texts like the "Huangdi Neijing"; (Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon). Worsley adapted these ideas into a distinct system of acupuncture that emphasizes treating not only physical symptoms but also emotional and spiritual imbalances. His work led to the modern practice of 5 Element Acupuncture, which is widely taught and practiced in Western countries today.
